Stand-up comedy night featuring Rory Bremner, Jen Brister and MC Stephen Grant at the Brighton Open Air Theatre.
Rory Bremner and Jen Brister are playing Brighton Open Air Theatre on Wednesday 2 September, with Stephen Grant on MC duties. It's a proper stand-up night, and the bill brings together two comedians from very different corners of the craft.
Bremner is a multiple BAFTA winner and one of Britain's most well-known satirical impressionists. You'll recognise him from Bremner, Bird and Fortune, Imitation Game, and Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and he's been a regular on Spitting Image, Have I Got News for You and Mock the Week. If you've followed his work, you know the territory: political satire and character work that leans on his ear for voices. Jen Brister brings a different energy to the bill. She's performed live at The Apollo and appeared on Frankie Boyle's New World Order, Mock the Week, QI and Hypothetical, and she co-hosts the Memory Lane podcast. Between the two of them, you've got a satirical heavy-hitter and a stand-up with a strong track record on the circuit.
Keeping the night moving is Stephen Grant, a multi-award-winning MC who also owns The Forge, Brighton's number one comedy club. He's a familiar face in the city's comedy scene, so he's well-placed to hold the room together between the two main acts.
