Charity cycling challenge with a London to Brighton route supporting the Andy Taylor Foundation, welcoming all types of bikes including e-bikes.
Ride with Andy is the Andy Taylor Foundation's second cycling event, and this one takes you from Clapham Common in London down to Madeira Drive in Brighton on Saturday 19 September 2026. It's a charity road challenge that runs from the capital to the coast, and the route itself has a bit of a story behind it: Brighton is the city where Andy began his media journey, so the ride follows a path that ties back to his life and the Foundation's work.
It's set up to be beginner-friendly, so you don't need to be a seasoned club rider to get involved. They welcome all types of bikes, including e-bikes, which takes a bit of the pressure off if you're not used to a long day in the saddle. To help with the fundraising side, the Foundation helps each rider set up their own Crowdfunder page, which links back to the main Cycling with Andy campaign. The money goes towards supporting the creative stars of tomorrow, so your miles are doing something useful.
There's a fair bit of support on the day to keep things running smoothly. The entry fee covers first aid, mechanical support, and ride captains to keep you on track, along with pre-ride training support if you're feeling a bit rusty. Along the route, there are pit-stops with water and snacks, and they'll transfer your rucksack to the finish so you don't have to lug it with you. Once you hit the coast, there's a celebratory drink waiting on Madeira Drive.
