Ricky Gervais brings his stand-up tour 'Legend', which he calls his most personal show, to Brighton Centre.
Ricky Gervais brings his new stand-up show, Legend, to the Brighton Centre on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 November, two nights in the city. It's part of a tour that runs from autumn 2026 right through to the end of 2027, at which point the show will be filmed and become his fifth Netflix special.
If you've followed his work, you'll know the pattern. His four previous tours — Humanity, SuperNature, Armageddon and Mortality — all broke box office records and topped the Netflix charts. Armageddon and Mortality each won him a Golden Globe for Stand-Up Comedy on Television, in 2024 and 2026. He describes Legend as his most personal show so far, and he's continuing his habit of donating a portion of ticket proceeds to charity: £2.43 million went to worldwide animal charities at the end of Mortality in 2025.
Beyond the stand-up, Gervais has spent decades as one of the most recognisable names in British comedy. He created and starred in The Office, Extras, Derek and the Netflix hit After Life, and hosted the Golden Globes five times. In 2016, he received the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy at the BAFTAs, and he's often cited as one of the most influential British comedians since Chaplin himself.
