Stand-up comedy show by Rich Wilson, an hour of observational comedy about settling down and raising a family, part of the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival.
Rich Wilson brings his new show, To the Cradle, From the Rave, to Komedia on Sunday 25 October. It's an hour of observational comedy built around the moment he decided to settle down and raise a family again, trading his dancing shoes for slippers.
Wilson frames the set around that shift, and the material grows from there: tales of late nights, early mornings and the slow return to domestic life. It's the kind of thing that works because it's so recognisable — the contrast between the rave and the cradle, the nights out and the early starts, and the space in between where one becomes the other. It's observational comedy that looks at the changing seasons of a life, told from the perspective of someone who's lived through both ends of the spectrum.
One thing to keep in mind is that this isn't a standalone date. The show is part of the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival in cahoots with Komedia 2026, so it's one of several comedy acts playing across the city that autumn. If you're already planning on catching a few things during the festival, this fits right in.

It's a matinee, so it's a good one if you're not a night owl. The show starts at 3:30 pm, with doors open from 3:00 pm, and it runs in the Komedia Studio at 44-47 Gardner Street. Tickets are £15, plus a £2 Komedia booking fee. Seating is unreserved, so if you want a particular spot, it's worth getting there a bit early. The room is 16+.
