The award-winning Regency Quartet performs classical music, including works by Mozart, Shostakovich, and Jessie Montgomery, as part of the Coffee Concert Series 2025/26.
If you’re looking for a cultured way to spend a Sunday morning next month, the latest installment of the long-running Coffee Concert Series is happening soon. On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Regency Quartet will be performing at the Corn Exchange in the Brighton Dome complex. The series is known for bringing high-quality classical music to the city, and this concert is no exception. It kicks off at 11:00 am, though the doors open earlier, at 10:15 am, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the music starts.

The Regency Quartet is definitely a group to keep an eye on. They formed relatively recently, in 2021, at the Royal Academy of Music, but they’ve already racked up some impressive credentials. They were selected as Kirckman Concert Society Artists for 2025/26 and won the Royal Overseas League String and Keyboard Ensemble category in 2025. Their program for the Brighton concert is a great mix of familiar masterpieces and contemporary works. They’ll be tackling the complexity of Mozart’s String Quartet No. 19 in C major, K. 465 'Dissonance', alongside Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 3 in F major, Op. 73. For those interested in newer pieces, the program also features Jessie Montgomery’s Strum and Webern’s Langsamer Satz.
Regarding tickets, the event is paid, but there are flexible options. An individual ticket costs £22.00 (or £20.00 with concessions). If you plan on attending other concerts in the series, the '3 Concert Saver' subscription is available for £57.00. It’s worth noting that a £3.50 charge applies per order for phone and online bookings. The most important detail, especially for younger music lovers, is that Strings Attached is funding free tickets for anyone aged 8 to 25. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear a highly regarded string quartet without the cost barrier, making the classical series much more accessible to a younger audience than the traditional 'Coffee Concert' crowd.
