Stand-up comedy tour of Red Richardson at Komedia in Brighton.
Red Richardson brings his tour to Komedia on Thursday 18 February. If you've come across his clips on Instagram, you'll know the name: his 'Stay Toxic' sketches and stand-up snippets have racked up over 250 million views on that platform alone. He's one of the UK's most-watched new comedians, and this is him taking that online presence and putting it on a stage in Brighton.
He's a regular on Ricky Gervais and Friends live stand-up shows, and has appeared in several comedy sketches for Gervais's Dutch Barn vodka company. Beyond the live circuit, he's been on The Stand Up Sketch Show on ITV2 and released The Red Richardson Special on YouTube. The reviews have been strong, with Chortle giving him four stars and Harry Enfield describing him as 'utterly brilliant, honest, ridiculous, engaging, hilarious' and 'the best type of one off'.
As for what he actually talks about, the range is pretty wide. He goes from Saudi Arabia and drugs to mullets and the benefits of drinking alone, so it's not a one-note set. If you've seen the sketches, you've got a good idea of the tone he works in.
