Over-18s gig by South London multi-instrumentalist Quinn Oulton, blending electronic, indie and jazz, at The Prince Albert.
Quinn Oulton plays The Prince Albert on Saturday 20 February, a night presented by JOY. Oulton is a South London-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer whose work sits at the crossroads of electronic, indie and jazz — a foundation that informs his approach to complex musical concepts.
His more recent releases have taken in contemporary RnB elements, with heavily altered vocals, chopped acoustic guitars and fast-paced drums. He's also known as a saxophonist, having toured and appeared on radio and television playing alongside 2020 Mercury nominee Moses Boyd. The Brighton date is for over-18s, and the venue has a capacity of 100, so it's a small room for a single performer. The set is just Oulton, with no other acts on the bill.
