An LGBTQ+ queer country night featuring live music, cabaret, line dancing, and games at Komedia.
If you have been looking for something a bit different to do in Brighton this autumn, there is a queer country night happening at Komedia on 8 October 2026. It is billed as a night of queer country fantasies, and the programme is quite packed. The evening is presented by Pink Suits and features The Northdown Rodeo, with a lineup that includes Sue Spurs, Sugar Ray, Janet District Council, Shelly Grotto, Pretzel Cage, Lo Barnes, Em Rose, and Eli Gargallo. Dame Jame is hosting the event, and they will also be running games with prizes throughout the night.

Things kick off at 19:15 with a session from the Little Gay Line Dancing Club, where you can learn some classic country moves. Beyond the dancing, the night includes live music, cabaret performances, a photo booth, and the aforementioned games. It is worth noting that the organisers have set a clear policy for the space: it is an LGBTQ+ environment with a zero-tolerance approach to sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or abusive behaviour. It is aimed at the LGBTQ+ community and allies, and they are encouraging people to dress in their best country-style outfits.
Regarding the logistics, tickets are available on a sliding scale starting at ยฃ12.50, with a standard price of ยฃ15.00. The organisers mention that if you have the means, paying a bit more is an option to help support the queer community. It is a straightforward setup for a night out, and if you are into the country aesthetic or just want to see what the scene is like, it is happening right in the centre of town at Komedia.
