Jazz and soul with a touch of electronica from the London-based singer-songwriter, presented by Scruff of the Neck.
Oscar Jerome plays Patterns on Friday 12 February, with the night presented by Scruff of the Neck. He's a London-based singer-songwriter, and the set sits in that jazz and soul territory with a touch of electronica woven in.
Jerome's been working as a musician and writer since he was young, and he's spent a fair bit of time as a vocalist, guitarist and producer for a wide range of acts. He grew up within the London music scene, and his solo project pulls those different roles together into one place. The Brighton date is presented by Scruff of the Neck, and he'll be joined by support on the bill.
If you're not familiar with him, the jazz and soul side is the core of it, but the electronica adds a bit of a modern edge that keeps it from feeling like a traditional club set. It's the kind of gig that works as well if you're there for the singing as if you're there for the playing.
