Organoke

Organoke returns to the Brighton Dome on Friday 18 December, bringing its mix of Christmas classics and pipe organ madness back to the Concert Hall. The night is split into two halves, and the first is a mass singalong of festive hits led by Ida Barr, who gets the room singing as if they were on Mariah Carey's Christmas tour. It's a group effort, so you're singing along with everyone else rather than watching from the sidelines.

The second half changes the dynamic. Anyone in the room can put their name into the 'Tombola of Dreams' for a chance to take centre stage and sing solo, with the organ and the live band cranking up to the max behind them. If you've got a song you've been practicing in the shower, this is where you can actually get it out in front of a crowd. Between the two halves, the night moves from a shared singalong to a few people stepping up for their own turn.

Ida Barr leads the way, and the whole thing is presented by Brighton Dome. It's billed as the most fun you can have with your Christmas jumper on, and it's suitable for all ages, so it works as a night out with friends or something to bring the family along to. There's standing and unreserved seating, which means you'll be in the thick of it rather than tucked away in a fixed seat.

Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £23.50, with £18.50 for under 26s and low-income concessions, and £20.50 for groups of eight or more. Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival members save £2 on the full price.
