October Unpacked returns to Brighton this autumn, running from 1 October to 31 October. It's a month-long celebration of the city's food, drink, arts and culture, with a programme that pulls together food trails, pop-up markets, live gigs and art moments across various venues. It's curated to capture the city's spirit, so there's a bit for foodies, live music lovers and culture seekers alike.
The music side of things kicks off on 1 October with Radiohead X Nosferatu at 18:00, followed the next night by Les Amazones d’Afrique and Trauma Industrial Complex Live, both at 19:30 on 2 October. Matt Winning brings Solastalgia to the stage on 8 October at 19:30, and Kristin Hersh plays on 22 October at 19:30. SOUL II SOUL headline on 28 October at 19:00, and Max Cooper performs 3D/AV Live across two nights, 29 and 30 October, both at 19:30. The month closes with Tim Burton’s Universe by Mystery Ensemble on 31 October at 19:30.
Comedy and theatre run through the middle. Komedia Comedy Club is on 10 October at 20:00, and Jack Rooke performs Good Grief on 13 and 14 October at 19:30. The Brighton Dome Comedy Festival, run with Komedia, takes over from 16 to 25 October, starting at 18:00. The Haunting of Hill House runs from 20 to 24 October at 19:30, and Michael Spicer plays Hope All’s Well on 24 October at 20:00. Amy Matthews performs Definitions of Toast on 22 October at 20:00, and Fatt Butcher presents Congregational on 30 October at 20:00.

For something a bit different, there's a Seaglass Jewellery Workshop on 17 October at 12:00, and Notes hosts a Wine & Music Pairing Night on 19 October at 19:30. Brighton’s Oktoberfest runs 23 and 24 October from 18:30, and Drag Music Bingo: Halloween Edition is on 29 October at 18:00. If you're just out for food, Unlimited Greek Street Food Wednesdays run every Wednesday throughout the month, from 17:00.
