An authentic tribute concert to Lemmy Kilmister and the band Motörhead at Concorde 2 in Brighton.
If you have spent any time in Brighton’s music scene, you know that Concorde 2 often hosts tribute acts that aim to capture the specific energy of bands that are no longer touring. On Friday, 12 February 2027, the venue is hosting Motörheadache, a tribute project dedicated to Lemmy Kilmister and the legacy of Motörhead. It is a show that focuses on recreating the sound and feel of the original band, rather than just playing the hits.

The band behind this project consists of Rob Campbell on bass and vocals, Al Leach on guitar, and 'Dirty' Dave Nutter on drums. What makes their approach interesting is the attention to the technical side of things. Campbell, who has been a fan of the band for a long time, uses specific gear to get as close as possible to Lemmy’s signature tone, including a Rickenbastard bass and Marshall amplification. The setlist they perform is designed to cover the band's history from 1975 through to 2015. This means you can expect to hear tracks spanning both the 'Fast Eddie' Clarke era and the later years with Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee. They typically include songs like 'Ace of Spades', 'Bomber', 'Overkill', 'Iron Fist', 'The Hammer', 'Killed by Death', and 'In the Name of Tragedy'.
Organised by Black Rabbit Productions, the event is open to anyone aged 14 and over, though it is worth noting that those under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult. Since this is a ticketed event, you will need to book your spot through the official AXS platform if you are planning to head down to the seafront for it. It is a straightforward setup: a night of music covering four decades of Motörhead’s catalogue in a venue that is well-suited for this kind of sound.
