Mike Wozniak brings his new stand-up comedy show 'The Bench' to Brighton, featuring his signature storytelling and absurd charm.
Mike Wozniak is bringing his new stand-up show, The Bench, to the Theatre Royal in Brighton on 25 March 2027. The premise of the show is built around a story involving a bench, though he has been quick to clarify that you don’t need to have any specific opinions or prior experience with benches to enjoy the performance. It is a straightforward stand-up tour, and for those familiar with his previous work, it fits right into the style he has developed over the years. You might recognise him from his television appearances on Taskmaster, Man Down, and Junior Taskmaster, or perhaps from his work as a co-host on the Three Bean Salad podcast.

Critics have had plenty to say about his approach to storytelling. The i Newspaper described him as a "charming storyteller with a splash of the surreal," noting his particular talent for the slightly absurd. The Times referred to him as "a comic of adorably skewwhiff charm," while The Skinny highlighted that he is "a great crafter of a story" and "a great performer with an interesting style." The Evening Standard was particularly enthusiastic, calling the show "deliciously distinctive fun" and suggesting that the story of Wozniak might be the "shaggiest of shaggy dog stories you will ever hear." Beyond The Joke kept their assessment concise, stating simply that Wozniak is "extremely funny."
The show is currently touring, and this date at the Theatre Royal is a chance to see the material live. It is worth noting that the show is recommended for those aged 14 and over. If you are planning to attend with anyone under the age of 16, they will need to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets for the evening are priced at approximately £28.13.
