Comedian Mike Bubbins performs his 'Ideas Man' show, sharing funny stories and original ideas in a stand-up comedy performance.
Mike Bubbins brings his tour to The Concert Hall at Brighton Dome on Friday 26 November 2027. The show is called IDEASMAN, and it's presented by Live Nation.
Bubbins is a Welsh comedian, actor, writer and broadcaster, and he's also a former professional rugby player, coach and PE teacher. He describes himself as an 'ideas man' — good at coming up with new or original ideas, but not an admin or especially organised man. He says the tour itself proves the point: he has loads of funny stories and the idea of sharing them with people, leaving everything else to other people, except the name IDEASMAN, which was his idea. The set is built around those stories, told live on stage.
Beyond the stand-up, he's a familiar name from a few different places. He's a star of The Socially Distant Sports Bar podcast, which launched during the 2020 lockdown, and he created the BBC sitcom Mammoth, whose first series was the biggest debut sitcom on BBC2 in five years and which is returning for a second. He's also been a finalist in the European Elvis Tribute Act Championship. Critics have called him 'delightfully silly' in The Telegraph and 'terrific' in The Times.
