Strictly 18+ night of house, techno and breaks with Shanti Celeste and Midland at Quarters on Kings Road.
Shanti Celeste and Midland are playing Quarters on Saturday 28 November, a double bill of house and techno from two DJs who operate on very different ends of the dancefloor. It's a Quarters night, so it'll be the venue itself putting it on.
Shanti Celeste is a DJ, producer and vocalist who describes her sound as 'an explosion of colour'. She's coming off her latest album, Romance, which blends lush, carefree production with intimate songwriting across nine tracks about self-love, friendship and romance. It's the kind of record that sits as much in the songwriting tradition as it does in the club, and that's a good shorthand for how she works: she's just as comfortable with a vocal on top as she is with the beat driving the whole thing.
Midland joins her on the bill, one of the UK's most respected selectors and producers. He's known for an adventurous approach that moves effortlessly between house, techno, breaks and leftfield electronics, and he's released on labels like Aus Music and Graded. If Celeste brings the colour, Midland brings the range — he's a DJ who isn't afraid to shift gears mid-set, so you're as likely to get a steady house groove as you are something a bit more broken or out of the ordinary.

Between them, that's a wide stretch of the dancefloor covered in one night. It runs from 23:00 to 04:00 at Quarters, 187-193 Kings Road, BN1 1NB, and tickets start from £16.28. It's strictly 18+, so bring ID or you won't get in.
