Matt Hennessy plays The Prince Albert on Monday 14 September, as part of his debut UK tour. The show is presented by Gotobeat, and it's Hennessy on the bill — no support act, just him taking the stage for the night.
Hennessy is a Portsmouth-based artist, so this is a local one. He describes his music as sitting between 2000s indie rock and old-school funk and soul, a combination that puts him in a different place from the usual guitar-band fare. This Brighton date comes after a busy summer on the festival circuit.
