Birmingham-based metal band Margarita Witch Cult performs a mix of sludge, thrash, and doom metal at The Prince Albert as part of their 'STRUNG OUT IN HELL' tour.
Margarita Witch Cult are heading down from Birmingham to play at The Prince Albert on Tuesday, 24th March. This trio, who often refer to themselves as "disciples of the riff," are currently touring in support of their second album, STRUNG OUT IN HELL, which was released back in August 2025. Given their roots in the same city that birthed Black Sabbath, they’ve been described by some as the new heirs to that particular throne of darkness, blending elements of sludge, thrash, and doom metal into their live sets. They arrive in Brighton as part of a wider international tour that sees them travelling through the UK, Poland, and Portugal, having previously built up their reputation on the road with acts like Cancer Bats and Monster Magnet.

The show is taking place in the upstairs room of the Albert, located at 48 Trafalgar Street, just a couple of minutes' walk from Brighton station. It’s a familiar spot for many of us, known for its intimate atmosphere and standing-only layout. It is worth noting that due to the historic nature of the building, accessibility for those with limited mobility is restricted. Doors are scheduled to open at 19:00, with the performance starting at 20:00. As this is a licensed venue, the event is strictly for those aged 18 and over.
Tickets for the night are priced at £13.20, a figure that already includes the management fees. They have been on sale since 5th December 2025, with a purchase limit of six tickets per customer. For those who follow the local heavy scene, this gig offers a chance to see how the band’s newer material translates to a live setting in a smaller venue. The mix of proto-metal and more modern doom influences suggests a fairly loud evening, fitting for a band that has spent the last year establishing themselves across the UK and European circuit. It’s a straightforward Tuesday night show for anyone looking to catch a band that is currently quite active in the metal community.
