The London Philharmonic Orchestra performs Stravinsky's The Firebird Suite, alongside works by Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Debussy, conducted by Dionysis Grammenos.
If you’re planning your cultural calendar for early 2026, the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) has confirmed their next visit to the city as part of their 2025/26 season. The concert, titled LwI - The Firebird, is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, starting at 7:30 PM (19:30h) in the Brighton Dome Concert Hall. While the event is named for the famous ballet score, the evening offers a broad selection of classical works, culminating in Stravinsky’s dramatic The Firebird Suite (specifically the 1919 version).

The program for the night is quite comprehensive, moving through different eras and styles. The LPO will open with Mendelssohn’s evocative The Hebrides Overture. The middle section of the concert features Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major, K488, with pianist Lukas Sternath joining the orchestra. Before the Stravinsky finale, the audience will hear Debussy’s atmospheric Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune. Leading the London Philharmonic Orchestra through this varied repertoire will be conductor Dionysis Grammenos.
For those interested in attending, tickets are priced starting at £16.50 and go up to £42 for Premium seating. It’s worth noting that the LPO makes an effort to include younger audiences, offering a special rate of £8 for anyone under 18. If you are considering attending multiple LPO concerts this season, they offer tiered discounts: a 10% saving for booking two concerts, 15% for three, and 20% if you opt for four. When booking, keep in mind there is a standard £3.50 charge per order for all telephone and online reservations, though this fee is waived for members of Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival.
