Afro house duo Lukas & Frank bring live saxophone and cello to their club sets at Patterns, blending a concert feeling with club energy.
Lukas & Frank play Patterns on Friday 20 November, bringing their live saxophone and cello into the club. They're an Afro house duo, and the whole point of their set is that the instruments aren't just for the intro — they weave them straight into the Afro and melodic house they're playing throughout the night.
They only formed in late 2024, but they've already pulled in around 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The two halves come from different worlds: one is a classically trained clarinettist who's moved over to saxophone, the other a rock-and-techno kid who channels everything through a cello. They describe their 'Sax & Cello' sets as blending a concert feeling with club energy, and the live instruments are what they build the whole thing around.
