Logic1000

Logic1000 plays Concorde 2 on Saturday 14 November, a night presented by the Institute of Contemporary Arts. The bill is simple: Logic1000, and that's it. The set starts late, with the music kicking off at 11:00 PM, so it's a proper late-night one rather than an early evening affair.

Logic1000 is the project of Samantha Poulter, a Berlin-based artist. If you're not familiar with the name, it's a good place to start with the city's electronic scene: she's spent the last few years building a reputation for dance music that works as well in a club as it does on a home system. The Berlin connection is a useful shorthand for where she sits, too — that city's particular brand of house and techno, with its long nights and steady, hypnotic grooves, is right in her wheelhouse.

Concorde 2 is tucked into the Madeira Shelter Hall, and the late start fits the room's energy. It's the kind of night that starts when the rest of the city is winding down, and the 11:00 PM start time means the dancefloor will be in full swing well into the early hours. With the Institute of Contemporary Arts presenting, it's got that particular ICA stamp on it, too.

So, Logic1000 at Concorde 2, Saturday 14 November, 11:00 PM. It's a late one, and it's just her on the bill.
