Live at Brighton Dome BLEEPED

BLEEPED returns to Brighton Dome on Saturday 24 October, starting at 18:00. It's the family-friendly sibling of Live at Brighton Dome, the city's biggest comedy night, and this marks its third year running. The premise is simple: the same grown-up acts that play the main night, just with the rude bits taken out. It's stand-up for those who prefer their comedy a little cleaner, and it's aimed at ages 11 and up, so it's one of the few nights in town you can actually bring the kids along to.

BLEEPED is part of the wider Brighton Dome Comedy Festival, which the Dome stages in partnership with Komedia across its various spaces. Live-captioning comes as standard, so it's accessible if you're hard of hearing. The festival itself runs across several venues, and this is just one of the nights on the bill.

The show takes place in The Corn Exchange, one of the spaces within the Brighton Dome complex on Church Street. The Dome itself is a Grade I listed multi-arts venue with a long history: it opened in 1803 as the Prince Regent's Royal Stables and Riding House, was bought by the town in 1850, and served as cavalry barracks before becoming a concert venue and assembly hall in 1867. The art deco interior dates from Robert Atkinson's work in 1934 and 35, and the stage has hosted acts as diverse as Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie, as well as the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, when ABBA won with 'Waterloo'.

Tickets are £12.00 for a standard seat, and the night kicks off at 18:00 on Saturday 24 October at The Corn Exchange, Brighton Dome, Church Street, BN1 1UE.
