A high-energy dark burlesque and concert performance by Little Miss Nasty, presented by Rockitsessions, with support from I Ya Toyah.
Little Miss Nasty are playing Patterns on Tuesday 15 December, with I Ya Toyah on the bill as well. It's a US-based company, and this is part of their return to the UK after playing stages around the world.
It's not a straightforward gig. They describe it as part concert, part dark burlesque, all rebellion, and that's a fair way to set expectations. The two halves sit side by side rather than one leading into the other, so you're getting music and burlesque in the same night. They've built a reputation for high-energy, boundary-pushing performances, and the 'dark' in the description points to where the burlesque side leans. It's less about the classic variety show and more about the rebellious streak they keep mentioning.
I Ya Toyah joins them on the bill, so there's more than one act to see. The whole night is presented by Rockitsessions, and it's an 18+ event, which fits the burlesque side of things. If you're not used to that world, it's worth keeping in mind before you book.
