A five-week meditation course for anyone feeling overwhelmed by their mind or struggling to focus, running in an intimate, LGBTQIA+ inclusive space in central Brighton.
Learn to Meditate kicks off at Gather Brighton CIC on Saturday 19 September, a five-week course that runs every Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30. It's pitched at anyone who feels overwhelmed by their own mind or struggles to focus when sitting quietly, and it takes place in an intimate, LGBTQIA+ inclusive space in central Brighton, just a short walk from the train station.
Over the five weeks, the syllabus works its way through five levels. It starts with an introduction to meditation and breath work, then moves on to advanced breathing techniques and longer group meditations. Along the way, you'll work with breathing, focusing, sound and guided practice, so you can figure out which style actually works for you. The aim is practical: you leave with the tools to build and maintain a sustainable, enjoyable meditation practice at home, rather than just something you do for a few weeks in a class.
Because it's a course and not a one-off, you'll be seeing the same people each Saturday morning, and the sessions build on each other as you go. It's a slow build from the basics up to the more advanced stuff, so it's designed for people who are starting from scratch.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Brighton and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It runs on Saturday mornings, 9:00 to 10:30, at Gather Brighton CIC, 39-41 Surrey St, Brighton, BN1 3PB. The cost is £85 for a concession and £110 standard.
