Stand-up comedy debut show Ark At She by Laura Newman at Komedia, featuring sharp observational comedy about adulthood, womanhood and parenthood.
Laura Newman brings her debut show, Ark At She, to Komedia on Sunday 28 February 2027. It's her first full hour on stage, and the title is a play on the biblical ark, though the cargo here is her own life rather than a pair of every animal.
Newman is one of the newer voices in British stand-up, and she's built a following of millions online before moving into the room. Ark At She is her debut show, and it's built around observational comedy about the trials and tribulations of adulthood, womanhood and parenthood. She describes it as sharp, warm and gloriously unfiltered, delivered with brutal honesty and razor-sharp wit. If you've come across her clips online, this is the full-length version of that voice, worked out into a proper show.
The set is for ages 16 and over, and it's just Newman on stage. The venue is the Komedia Basement, 44-47 Gardner Street, BN1 1UN, with unreserved cabaret seating, so you'll be at tables rather than in rows. There's a snack menu available, too, if you fancy something to eat during the interval.
