Ladies Day returns to Brighton Racecourse on Thursday 6 August, the second day of the three-day Festival of Racing (5-7 August). It's one of the biggest dates on the British racing calendar, and for good reason: it's a glamorous summer soiree by the sea where everyone is encouraged to dress up to the nines. The festival itself has grown in size and stature over the years, partnering with Star Sports to deliver three packed days of flat racing on the turf, with the Brighton Mile Challenge as its standout race.
On the track, there are six flat races, including the Brighton Mile Challenge. Beyond the racing, the day leans into its seaside setting: there's a Flower Wall for photos, and across the whole festival, more than 1,500 bottles of Prosecco and 1,000 bowls of strawberries are served. The Best Dressed Style Awards reward the best outfit of the day with £500, so there's a real incentive to put some effort into your look. New for 2026 is Denise Van Outen Live After Racing, with Denise performing from a classic VW DJ van. That's joined by roaming live music from Jason Lee and a caricaturist sketching racegoers throughout the day.

If you're planning to go, the gates open at 12:38, the first race is at 14:38, and the last is at 17:35. Grandstand admission is £23.00 and the Premier Enclosure is £28.00, while a 3-day Festival Pass covers the whole event for £49.00. There are a few packages to choose from: 'A Day at the Races' and 'Summer Cooler' are both £30.00, and the Winning Post Suite's 'Bottomless Ladies Day' is £99.00. 'OddsOn - Reserve' is £49.00, 'Ultimate OddsOn - Reserve' is £65.00, and you can add a personalised racecard message for £60.00. Children 17 and under go free when accompanied by an adult, and kids go free throughout the summer holidays.
