Weekly night of stand-up with three top acts plus an MC at the Komedia Basement in Brighton.
Komedia Comedy Club returns to Komedia Brighton on Friday 23 October, kicking off a run that stretches through to July 2027. It's a regular night, so if this one doesn't suit, there'll be plenty more to choose from over the coming months.
The night follows a set format: three acts plus an MC, all in the basement. It's an over-18s show, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a group. The venue itself is a Brighton institution, tucked into the heart of North Laine and just a few minutes' walk from the station. It's been hosting live entertainment for just under 30 years and is regarded as the city's premier independent venue, with the comedy night billed as the best live comedy in the South. The room has won the Chortle Award for Best Comedy Venue in the South & East a record 18 times.
Komedia does more than just stand-up, too. They stage cabaret, music, club nights, kids' shows and drag, and have hosted names like Maisie Adam, Sara Barron, Jen Brister, Jordan Brookes, Nina Conti, Tony Law, Laura Lexx, Zoe Lyons, Shazia Mirza, Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Aurie Styla. If you're heading down with a crowd, there are group discounts: £5 off each ticket for six or more, and £7 off for ten or more.
