A high-energy tribute to the late-1980s Sunset Strip rock era, featuring anthems from Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Def Leppard and more.
King Awesome are playing Komedia on Saturday 12 June 2027, in the Komedia Studio at 44-47 Gardner Street. They describe themselves as a tribute to the glory days of late-1980s Sunset Strip rock, back when big riffs, bigger hair and even bigger parties ruled the world.
The set is an all-killer, no-filler run of the biggest anthems from Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Guns N' Roses, Poison, Whitesnake and more. They aim to recreate the energy, excess and excitement of rock's most outrageous era with blistering guitars, soaring vocals and a high-octane stage show full of fist pumps, singalongs and tongue-in-cheek '80s attitude.
