Kerrbang

Kerrbang are playing Concorde 2 on Thursday 29 October, and it's a double-header of a night. They're a nostalgia party band, which means they spend the first half of the evening working through the hits of pop punk, nu metal and emo. If you grew up with those three sounds, you'll recognise the ground they're covering: the distorted guitars and high-energy choruses of pop punk, the heavier, rap-infused riffs of nu metal, and the melodic, moody side of emo. It's a broad stretch of early-to-mid 2000s alternative music, and they run through it as a live set.

Once that's wrapped up, the night shifts gear. The second half is a live karaoke, so the stage opens up and you can take a turn yourself. It's a straightforward enough setup: they play the hits, and then you get to sing them. If you've spent years singing along to those records in your room, this is your chance to do it with a proper band behind you.
