They've spent the last six years working their sound out in the open, and the live shows are where it all comes together — the complex rhythms and the impish humour that run through their music. It's the kind of thing that's easier to experience in a room than to pin down on paper.
They're playing at The Hope & Ruin, a grassroots room with a 150 capacity that sits above a busy pub in Brighton's town centre. It's a venue that keeps its calendar full, programming live music 364 days a year and booking everyone from emerging local acts to international touring names. The Strokes, Electrelane, British Sea Power, Adele, Bonnie Prince Billy, Michael Kiwanuka, Dua Lipa and Self Esteem have all played here, alongside local bands like ARXX, Ditz, Lambrini Girls, Ciel and Porridge Radio.

Beyond the music, the pub has its own things going on: the bar serves only plant-based drinks, and the BEELZEBAB kitchen in its corner caravan does award-winning vegan kebabs, loaded fries, hot dogs and brownies. The rest of the pub hosts a monthly Curryoke, weekend DJs, clothes swaps, quizzes, poetry nights and Jazz Mondays. Keg take the stage on Thursday 26 November at 7:30 pm.
