Stand-up show by John-Luke Roberts, his first new show in four years and his eleventh, in the Komedia Studio.
John-Luke Roberts is back at Komedia on Tuesday 9 February, with What I Talk About When I Run About, Talking. It's his first new show in four years, and it's playing in the Komedia Studio, so it'll be a proper close-up night rather than a big room. He bills it as a pivot to the mainstream, and the hour came together after a brush with death and an alarming night in A&E.
If you've come across his name before, you'll know he's built a reputation on the more inventive end of stand-up. The Guardian called him an 'alt-comedy godfather', and Chortle described his work as 'uniquely inventive... amazingly stupid... beautifully constructed'. The Daily Telegraph put him down as one of the 50 funniest comedians of the 21st century. This is his eleventh show, so there's a fair bit of ground behind it.
