The session is designed for participants who identify as LGBTQIA+ and is open to writers of all skill levels. The content is based on the processes and ideas behind Taylor’s poetry collection, Maryville. During the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to gather ideas for their own poetry, engage in writing exercises, and work on developing their individual poetic voice. It is a practical session intended for those interested in exploring these themes through their own writing.
Regarding the logistics, the workshop has a minimum recommended age of 16. Tickets are priced at £5.00. If you are booking online or over the phone, there is an additional booking fee of £3.50 per order, though this fee is waived for Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival members. It is a straightforward setup for anyone interested in spending the day focusing on creative writing within the context of the festival.
