What’s appealing is that they cater to absolutely everyone. Whether you’re a complete beginner looking for a trial class or an intermediate jeweller wanting to specialize, they have over 75 different classes available. Beginners can start with courses like Silver Stacking Rings or the three-part Silver Jewellery for Beginners series. If you already have some experience, you can dive into specialized topics like the 2-day Stone Setting in Silver course, which costs £269.00 and covers cabochon, tube, and flush setting techniques. They also offer more advanced skills like Sand Casting, Fold Forming, and Masterclasses in Polishing and Finishing.
The physical workshops are scheduled to open in March 2025, with the full class schedule for the spring/summer season available from late February 2025. For those serious about turning this into a career, the Academy runs comprehensive Diploma programs designed to take students to a professional level, aiming to help launch or develop a profitable jewellery business. These Diplomas cover extensive techniques using silver, gold, and precious stones, including soldering, stone setting, wax carving, and business support modules.
If you are planning further ahead, the Diploma in Silver Jewellery (1 year part-time) and the Diploma in Fine Jewellery (advanced) both have start dates in September 2026, priced at £5,497. This fee covers a lot, including all essential materials (like silver and small amounts of gold, valued around £1,200), a beginner tool kit, and individualized tutoring. They also offer an intensive 7-week version of the Silver Jewellery Diploma starting in June 2026, running Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00.
