House and tech house DJ Jamie Fielding plays an extended set at the historic Concorde 2 venue in Brighton.
Jamie Fielding plays Concorde 2 on Saturday 22 August, with N.A Events presenting. It's house and tech house, and Fielding takes the sole slot on the bill in an extended set tailored to the venue's intimate live room. The longer format leaves space for longer tracks, reworks and detours that wouldn't fit a standard set length.
Fielding has become one of the UK's most exciting names in house music following the success of his breakout anthem Party Over Here, and he's known for infectious grooves, high-energy sets and releases supported by some of the biggest names in the scene. This is a night built around his sound rather than a shared bill, so the whole set is his to shape.
Concorde 2 itself is a multi-award-winning Brighton institution: a 600-capacity Victorian building that was tea rooms in the 1800s, a notorious bikers' cafe in the 1960s and an amusement arcade in the 1970s before opening in its current form in 2000. It was the original home of Fatboy Slim's Big Beat Boutique in the 90s, and Dave Grohl called it 'The Perfect Venue' during a 2008 show. The live room is the smaller, more focused space within the building, which is why the extended set works here rather than in a larger club room.
