A festive singalong show blending Christmas carols with primary school assembly classics, storytelling and comedy, performed by James B Partridge.
James B Partridge brings The Big Christmas Assembly to The Komedia Basement on 3 December, a festive singalong that grew out of his time as a primary school music teacher. Back then, he performed iconic school songs to entertain his pupils, and those videos eventually found their way onto social media. They grew into Primary School Assembly Bangers, a live show that's since toured the UK, with several Glastonbury Festival sets going viral and a slot closing a field at the festival.
On stage, he blends Christmas carols with primary school assembly classics and throwback mashups, with storytelling, comedy and audience participation at the heart of it. It's a singalong, so you'll be expected to join in rather than just watch from your seat.
Partridge is a UK-based singer and vocal coach with a professional background that stretches well beyond the school hall. He's performed with Gareth Malone's Voices at the Royal Variety Show and provided vocals for Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Electric Light Orchestra. He's also appeared on BBC Breakfast, The One Show, Loose Women, CBBC Newsround, Songs of Praise and BBC Radio 2.
