Stand-up comedy show Nothing Heavy by Jack Skipper, presented by Off The Kerb Productions.
Jack Skipper brings his new show, Nothing Heavy, to the Brighton Dome on Saturday 10 April 2027. It's presented by Off The Kerb Productions, and it's his only Brighton date of the run.
Skipper is a stand-up who came to comedy from a bit of an unusual angle: he trained as a carpet fitter before switching to the stage, and he built his following on TikTok and Instagram. The climb since then has been quick. He was runner-up in the So You Think You're Funny? new act competition in 2022, a finalist in the Komedia new act competition in 2023, and made his Edinburgh Fringe debut the following year, where he was nominated for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. After a sell-out debut tour and a spot on Live at the Apollo, Nothing Heavy is his return to the road.
As for the show itself, Skipper describes it as relatably observational stand-up about life, getting older, and everything in between. It's the kind of set that works because it's grounded in the everyday rather than the abstract, and it's presented as a solo hour. One thing to keep in mind: the show is strictly for ages 14 and over.
