Indie Rock Night: Footy Shirts

Dust is putting on Indie Rock Night Footy Shirts on Saturday 14 November, an 18+ party that mixes indie, pop rock and football bangers. The music runs across decades of indie and pop rock, with Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Blur, Franz Ferdinand, The 1975, Muse, Coldplay, Florence & the Machine, Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, The Smiths, The Cure, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, MGMT, Wet Leg, Hozier, Lorde and M.I.A. among the names on the playlist. It's a broad sweep, so you'll hear the 90s Britpop of Blur and Oasis alongside the newer stuff from Wet Leg and Hozier, with the more dancey side of indie like MGMT and M.I.A. thrown in too.

The football side of the night is more than just the music. There's FIFA 16 running on a big screen, and the dress code is where the theme really comes in: turn up in a footy shirt or dress as a wag and you'll get a free shot. It's an 18+ night, so the drinks are a big part of the draw, with five bombs for £5 and £2.50 pints on the bar.

It all goes down at Dust Brighton, 77 East Street, BN1 1NF, starting at 23:00. Standard tickets are £5.26, so it's a cheap one if you're planning a late Saturday night in town.
