Hed PE and Cold perform live on the Still Broke 25th Anniversary Tour at Concorde 2 in Brighton.
Hed PE and Cold are playing Concorde 2 on Sunday 11 October, as part of the Still Broke 25th Anniversary Tour. It's a double bill that brings two bands from the same era together on one stage, and the tour title marks a quarter-century since the album Still Broke came out.
Hed PE are the ones who'll likely be the most familiar if you've spent any time with the nu-metal and rap-rock that defined the late nineties and early two thousands. They describe themselves as G-punk, a mix of punk-rock, metal, hip-hop and reggae, and they've been at it for over two decades. Along the way they've shared stages with System of a Down, Korn and Black Sabbath, so they're well-versed in playing to the heavier end of the spectrum. Cold bring their own brand of alternative rock to the night, and the two bands are touring together for this anniversary run.
If you've followed either band since the early days, the Still Broke anniversary is the hook here. It's a tour built around a specific record from twenty-five years ago, so the set will lean into that era. Hed PE's G-punk blend—the punk, metal, hip-hop and reggae all running through the same songs—is exactly what they're known for, and that's what they'll be bringing to the night.
