Lost Hippo bring Guess Boo - The Mystery of My Nan's Ashes to Komedia Studio on Sunday 11 October, a comedy séance they describe as spooky, silly, and sexy. It's a return to the city for the show, which picked up the Best Show - Audience Choice Award at the Brighton Fringe 2025.
The whole thing is built around a game board called 'Guess Boo', which features 24 dead celebrities and a pot of ashes. The audience doesn't just sit and watch; you're cast as a team of amateur mediums working with the infamous Mystic Smeg to contact the spirit realm. Using irreverent and questionable methods, the spirits are encouraged to whisper, draw, and even play musical instruments to give away clues, and the goal is to figure out whose remains are actually inside the pot.
It's a participatory night, so you'll be doing more than just laughing from the back. The game board puts the dead celebrities front and centre, and the clues come through the spirits' attempts to communicate, with the audience piecing it all together.
