Concert by Australian folk-rock singer-songwriter Grace Cummings at the Zahara venue in Brighton.
Grace Cummings plays Zahara on Friday 13 November, starting at 19:00. She's an Australian folk-rock singer-songwriter and stage actress from Melbourne, and this is her bringing that sound over to Brighton.
If you're not familiar with her, the folk-rock label only tells part of it. Her work draws on traditional Irish folk, twentieth-century poetry, and an orchestral way of storytelling, and she's known for a commanding, magnetic voice that carries all three. It's a broad set of influences to pull from, and they meet in the middle of the folk-rock she's built her name on.
She'll be playing from her latest album, Bloodhorse!, which came out in August 2024 and was led by the single 'I'm Not Crazy'. That record is the most recent thing she's put out, so it'll be a good place to start if you're coming to her for the first time.
