Electronic music duo Fujiya & Miyagi perform live at the Concorde 2 venue in Brighton.
Fujiya & Miyagi play Concorde 2 on Wednesday 27 January 2027, with doors opening at 7:30 PM. The show is presented by JOY and is for ages 14 and over, with under-16s needing to be accompanied.
They're an electronic duo that formed in East Sussex back in 2000, with David Best on guitars and vocals and Steve Lewis on synths, beats and programming. Matt Hainsby joined on bass in 2004, and the three of them have been working together ever since. Their sound pulls from a fair few different places: krautrock, deep soul, early Human League synth and Tom Tom Club are all in there, and their catalogue is described as strewn with surprises and creative about-turns. Live, they're known for wearing masks, and critics have called them tech-heads with sideways glances at glitch-core and ambience.
