Form Affinity bring their debut headline show to Brighton, performing their album 'Needling' with support from Brabble and Gold & Green, as part of the Rock Brighton festival.
Form Affinity play The Prince Albert on Thursday 13 August, their debut headline show in Brighton. They're touring their first album, Needling, and the set is built around it.
They've described the sound as aimed at the emo, screamo, jangly lo-fi and fuzzy riffage crowd, so you've got a fair idea of the territory they're working in. It's a line-up that sits across a few different corners of the underground: the melodic, slightly frayed edges of emo and lo-fi, the more abrasive side of screamo, and the distorted, overdriven guitar work that ties them together. If you're into that sort of thing, this is exactly the kind of night that puts it front and centre.
They aren't playing alone, either. Brabble and Gold & Green are both on the bill, so the evening starts well before the headliners take the stage. It's a full night of music rather than a single act, with the support acts warming up the room before Form Affinity bring Needling live.

The whole thing is part of the Rock Brighton festival, which runs across the city, so this is one of several gigs happening around town. The Prince Albert is at 48 Trafalgar Street, BN1 4ED, and the night runs from 20:00 to 23:00. Tickets are £7.00, guide price.
