Forge Comedy Club

The Forge Comedy Club is back at Ironworks Studios on Saturday 29 August, with Carey Marx, Katie Garcia and Keith Farnan on the bill. It's a standard night of stand-up: three acts taking turns on stage, with MC Stephen Grant running the evening. The show runs from 20:00 to 22:30, so you're looking at a good two and a half hours of comedy.

The Forge is run by Grant himself, who calls himself the venue's 'undisputed king of comedy'. It's a purpose-built room inside Ironworks Studios, and it's picked up its fair share of recognition over the last few years: Chortle's Best Comedy Venue 2024, Best Pro Comedy Night 2023 in the South, and Comic's Comic Best Promoter 2022. It also took a Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice Award in 2025. Romesh Ranganathan has described it as 'probably the best Comedy Club in Brighton, if not the UK'.

Ironworks Studios is a multi-purpose production and creative space in the centre of the city, and it's home to Brighton Pride CIC. Much of the programming there celebrates LGBTQ+ culture, alongside cabaret, burlesque, drag and variety shows, and it houses studios with live multi-camera broadcasting for streaming. The Forge sits right in the middle of that, so it's a comedy night in a venue that does a lot more than just stand-up.

Tickets are £13.46 for a standard seat, though that's a guide price and subject to change. The show is at Ironworks Studios, 30 Cheapside, Brighton, BN1 4GD, on Saturday 29 August from 20:00 to 22:30.
