Comedian Fin Taylor brings his latest stand-up tour 'The Pre-emptive Comeback Special' to Brighton, following his success on 'Live At The Apollo' and 'Fin vs the Internet'.
Fin Taylor is heading to the Theatre Royal in Brighton with his latest stand-up show, The Pre-emptive Comeback Special. Many people know him from his frequent TV appearances on programmes like Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, and The Last Leg, or perhaps from his podcasts Fin vs History and Parenting Hell. This tour is his most extensive one yet, building on the momentum of his interview series Fin vs the Internet. The show’s title itself is a bit of a self-aware joke about the comedy industry; since tickets go on sale so far in advance, the premise is whether he can stay on the 'tightrope' long enough to actually make it to the opening night.

The Brighton date is set for Saturday, 17 October 2026. Most listings indicate a 19:30 start time, though it’s worth noting that the box office at the venue opens 90 minutes earlier if you need to collect tickets or have questions. The performance is expected to last between 90 minutes and two hours, including an interval. In terms of who can attend, the guidance states that those under 16 must be with an adult over 18. It’s a standard stand-up format, drawing on the sharp, direct style he’s developed through his work on Roast Battle and 8 out of 10 Cats.
Located on New Road (BN1 1SD), the Theatre Royal is quite central and easy to get to. It’s a ten-minute walk from Brighton station, and several bus routes stop nearby on North Street. For those driving into the city, the car parks at Church Street and The Lanes are the most convenient spots nearby. Ticket prices vary a bit depending on the platform, with some starting at £15.00 and others reaching a standard price of £27.15. Inside the theatre, there are bar services and a cloakroom available. For anyone with an ATG+ membership, there is a 25% discount on drinks at the bar, provided you arrive at least 30 minutes before the show starts.
