Elouise Eftos: Australia's First Attractive Comedian

Elouise Eftos brings her show Australia's First Attractive Comedian to The Studio Theatre at Brighton Dome on Wednesday 21 October, as part of the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival. It's an hour that's already played to multiple sold-out seasons and standing ovations, and it comes with a fair bit of weight behind it: Eftos is an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, and the show was named The Guardian's fourth best of 2025 and one of The Times' top three debuts of that year.

On stage, she describes herself as a quadruple threat, combining stand-up, dance, singing and acting. The material runs from outdated feminism to 'disgusting men', and it spends a good deal of time subverting what we mean by feminism, attractiveness and self-ownership in a world that tells you to hate yourself to be funny. There's a bit of her own life woven in too — she's been an AFL Grand Final dancer and Aaron Chen's ex-wife.

Critics have called her a 'future superstar' and a 'fully fledged superstar', and the show is presented by Show and Tell as part of the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival, in cahoots with Komedia 2026. It's recommended for ages 14 and over.

The performance is at The Studio Theatre, Brighton Dome, on Church Street, BN1 1UE. It starts at 19:30, with doors opening at 18:45, and tickets are £20.00.
