The Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus performs an intimate show of solos and duets focused on romance and heartbreak, raising funds for their participation in the Various Voices festival.
If you're looking for something a little different the weekend after Valentine's Day, the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus is putting on a special show called Don’t Go Breaking My Heart. It’s happening on Sunday, February 15, 2026, right in the heart of North Laine at Komedia Brighton. This performance is designed to be an intimate evening, moving away from their usual large-scale productions to focus specifically on themes of romance and heartbreak. The setlist will feature solos, duets, and smaller group numbers, giving the audience a chance to hear some of the individual voices and talent within the chorus, making it a unique experience compared to their typical shows.

The performance is scheduled for the Komedia Basement, a space that always lends itself well to a more personal atmosphere. If you plan on attending, the doors open at 6:30 PM, giving you an hour to settle in before the show starts promptly at 7:30 PM. The evening will be guided by host Lee Peart. Komedia, situated at 44-47 Gardner Street, is a well-established independent venue known for hosting quality music and cabaret, making it a solid setting for this kind of focused event.
Beyond just enjoying a great night of music, attending the event means supporting the chorus directly. This performance is being held as a fundraiser for their scholarship fund. These funds are specifically earmarked to help the group participate in the upcoming European queer choral festival, Various Voices. It’s a chance to enjoy some local talent while contributing to their efforts to represent Brighton on a wider stage.
