A guided sensory walk exploring hidden green spaces in Brighton, focusing on mindfulness and nature connection as part of the City Uncovered series.
If you have been looking for a way to slow down and engage with the city differently, there is a guided walk coming up called Discover Brighton Through Your Senses. It is part of the City Uncovered: Brighton series, which runs from the 1st to the 14th of June 2026. Rather than a standard hike or a fast-paced tour, this experience focuses on exploring hidden green spaces through sensory exercises, mindfulness techniques, and gentle movement. It is designed as a restorative break, aiming to help participants disconnect from the usual daily noise.

The sessions are led by a nature connection guide trained by The Forest Bathing Institute (TFBI). During the walk, the guide facilitates breathing exercises and sensory observation tasks to help you tune into the natural environment. Because the focus is on connection rather than distance, it functions more like a guided pause in your schedule. The event is strictly for adults, with an age restriction of 18+, making it a quiet environment for those interested in mindfulness or simply spending time outdoors in a structured way.
There are two dates scheduled for this experience: the 4th of June and the 12th of June 2026. Both sessions run from 17:30 to 19:15. The location is the Bevendean Community Garden (BN2 4FH). If you are planning to drive, there is free parking available at Health Hill Avenue. The cost to attend is ÂŁ35 per person.
Since this takes place in a garden setting, it is worth preparing for the outdoors. It is recommended to wear comfortable footwear and clothing that covers your skin, such as long sleeves and trousers, to avoid scratches while moving through the space. Bringing water and some form of waterproof material to sit on is also suggested, as the nature of the activity involves spending time in the garden environment.
