If you have been following the local music scene for a while, you might be interested to know that John Wright, the former drummer of the Canadian band No Means No, is bringing his solo project, Dead Bob, to Brighton this autumn. He is scheduled to perform at The Prince Albert on Thursday, 24 September 2026. For those planning to attend, the venue doors will open at 20:00, with the music starting shortly after at 20:30. The format for the evening is straightforward: there will be a single support act, which allows Dead Bob to play a full, uninterrupted set. The performance is expected to feature a mix of tracks from his album Life Like alongside original material from his time with No Means No. It is worth noting that this is an 18+ event, so you will need to bring ID if you plan on heading down.
Tickets for the night are priced at £22.00, which includes a £20.00 base price plus a £2.00 booking fee. Given the venue's size and the nature of the tour, it is a fairly standard setup for a gig at The Prince Albert. Whether you are a long-time fan of Wright’s previous work or just curious about his new solo direction, the date is set for late September if you want to catch the performance.
