Daytime clubbing disco with 20th-century hits, created by Vicky McClure and Jonny Owen, with no dress code or VIP attitude.
Day Fever comes to Concorde 2 on Saturday 28 November, starting at 15:00. It's a daytime clubbing event, and the whole thing kicks off in the afternoon rather than the middle of the night, which is the point of the whole thing.
Day Fever was started by actor Vicky McClure, her husband Jonny Owen, and Jon McClure of Reverend & The Makers. They describe it as "the day-time disco that doesn't ruin your Sunday", and it's been touring the UK since it launched in 2024. The idea is straightforward: good music, a proper venue, and a crowd there just to dance. There's no dress code, no VIP area, and no egos to worry about. It's grown from a single club night into a space where people let go, connect with strangers and find support, and it now draws thousands of dancers across the country.
The music comes from the greatest hits of the 20th century, and the range is wide. You'll hear Madonna and Madness alongside Pulp, Prince, The Stone Roses and The Rolling Stones. It's the kind of set that pulls from a few different decades at once, so you're as likely to be dancing to 80s pop as you are to 60s rock or 90s indie. If you're into the classics, you'll find plenty to hold onto.

It's at Concorde 2 on Madeira Drive, Brighton, BN2 1EN, on Saturday 28 November, starting at 15:00. Since it's a daytime affair, you'll be out on the dancefloor while it's still light outside, and you'll be home long before the usual clubbing hours would have you.
