Stand-up comedy show by Dan Tiernan, a two-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, at the Brighton Dome.
Dan Tiernan brings his show Quartz and All to the Brighton Dome Studio Theatre on Friday 23 October, starting at 7.30pm. He's a stand-up comedian who's built a bit of a name for himself over the last few years, and this is his latest run.
If you haven't come across him yet, he's one of those acts who's spent a lot of time on the festival circuit. He's put together a hat trick of sold-out Edinburgh Festival runs and has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award twice. The most recent of those was for Best Comedy Show in 2025, and he also picked up a nomination for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2026, so he's been working both sides of the globe.
Beyond the festivals, he's a regular on the telly. You'll recognise him from Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg, and QI — the kind of run that puts a comedian in front of a lot of people quite quickly. The Guardian has called him 'one of comedy's most distinctive new voices', and the Mail on Sunday described him as 'one of the most compelling voices to emerge in stand-up in recent years'. The Guardian also summed up his style as 'crude comedy with a big payoff', which gives you a fair idea of where he's heading.
