An evening of astonishing facts and hilarious tales from comedian Dan Schreiber, host of the QI podcast No Such Thing As A Fish.
Dan Schreiber brings his new show, This Changes Everything, to Komedia on Saturday 21 November. If you've got the QI podcast No Such Thing As A Fish on your regular rotation, you'll know Schreiber as one of its co-hosts — the one who spends his time digging up the kind of facts that sound like they've been made up on the spot.
That's exactly where this show comes from. It's an evening of astonishing facts and hilarious tales drawn from his investigations into the weird, straddling the line between sense and nonsensibility. He's the sort of storyteller who doesn't just give you a trivia point and move on; he builds a whole night around the things that don't quite fit anywhere else. To give you a sense of the territory he covers, he asks things like which billion-dollar industry was created by a dead doctor during a seance, which Hollywood star was said to have a magical foreskin, and how you get into the world's secretest secret society. It's the same curiosity that drives No Such Thing As A Fish — the kind of stuff that makes you want to spend the next hour down a Wikipedia rabbit hole.
Schreiber is also a bestselling author, with The Theory Of Everything Else to his name, so this is very much in his wheelhouse. He's spent years collecting these oddities, and This Changes Everything is the live version of that obsession. It's a one-man show, so it's just him on stage with the stories.
